Dogs can be walked on leads, cyclists are asked to stick to the paths already made and walkers wander everywhere.

This is a great place for walking the dog and watching the local wildlife. Kangaroos, sugar gliders and some great bird life. Used to be a tip and still shows the evidence of such.

There's much beauty to be seen here from remnants of an old pine forest (ornamental, planted as a wind break and to hide an old tip), gums trees of various species, beautiful magpies and mobs of grey kangaroos.

With views in all directions, one can see Mt Ainslie, Civic, Black Mountain Tower and the Australian Institute of Sport.

I'm fortunate enough to stay with friends who live close by this beautiful location such that I can have a wonder when I'm visiting Canberra.
